How can I send my print jobs to library's network printers from my laptop?

Answer

You can print from your laptop using the following settings. It is assumed you are already logged into NUS wireless network. Payment at most libraries is by cashcard or ezlink card.  Printing in color is also available, please select the correct printer. 

 Please note that like most printing facilities in NUS, you will need to be a current NUS student or staff with a NUSnet ID to do any printing. NUS alumni with printing and scanning needs should instead visit the Alumni Service Centre.

For questions on U-Town Printing instead. For printing questions with regards to other labs, please approach the approporiate staff of these labs. We regret we are unable to assist.

Central Library (For Windows users)

Steps to connect to CBLC printer at InfoCommons (Level 4, Central Library):

1. Go to 'Start'

2. Select 'Run'

3. Type in

4. Press 'ENTER'

For Windows 32-bit users, choose any of the following printers:

To print to A4 paper

CL-CBLC-PrintH0-A4

CL-CBLC-PrintH1-A4

CL-CBLC-PrintH2-A4

 

To print to A3 paper (black & white)

CL-CBLC-PrintH3-A3

 

To print colour to A4 and A3 paper

CL-CBLC-Color-A4

CL-CBLC-Color-A3

For Windows 64-bit users, choose any of the following printers:

To print to A4 paper (black & white, color)

CBLC-Wireless-BW-A4

CBLC-Wireless-Color-A4

6. Double-click to select printer

For Windows Users:

   

   Steps to connect to CSNUS-SVR printers from Laptop :Click ‘Start

 

      1.     Windows XP :  Select ‘Run

         Windows Vista : Enter command in the ‘Start Search’ bar of the start menu

         Or 

         Press Windows Key + R

     2.   Type in '\CSNUS-SVR

 

       3.     Press ‘ENTER

 

       4.     A popup window will appear asking for your NUSNET username and password.  E.g. : nusstf\username

 

       5.     Double click on CSLIBP1 to connect to the printer.

 

 

   For MAC Users:

  Please login to NUSNET before you do the following :

 

Setting

Under System Preferences > Print & Fax > Add Printer> IP Printer

 

Protocol :    Line Printer Daemon –LPD

Address :    172.18.37.251

Queue :       CSLIBP2

Name :        (optional : CSLIBP2)

Location :    (optional : Library)

Print using : HP LaserJet 8150 Series

 

1.        After sending your documents, go to the Print Release Station.

2.        Enter your computer name/ login name to retrieve your print jobs.

3.        Follow the instructions on the screen.

4.        Collect your printouts at the printer(s).

 

For Mac Users & Other operating systems

For Mac users (Central Library) or users with other operating systems (e.g. Linux etc), please consult the student assistant at InfoCommons and/or photocopy vendor.

 

Once you have sent your print jobs, you can proceed to the print release stations at Central Library InfoCommons.
