How long can I borrow books, bound journals or other library material? What if the item is from closed stacks?
Answer
Your loan privileges will vary according to your membership type and type of material.
See Loan Entitlement of Library Members for more details.
Closed stacks items will typically follow the loan periods of the same type of item on the open shelves. For example most books stored in closed stacks can be requested and borrowed for 14 days by undergraduates like any ordinary book on the shelf, while bound journals requested from the closed stacks can be loaned for 1 day by undergradate like any ordinary bound journal. For borrowing print theses from the closed stacks, please consult a librarian for more details.

- Books that have many holds on them, might be converted into "short term loan" items that have loan periods of only 7 days. They generally have a location like "CL Holdshelf"
