Answer

To restrict a search in FindMore@NUSL to ebooks only, select "items with full-text online" and "book/ebook"

This is currently experimental and may miss out some ebooks or list print books as ebooks.

When you search LINC or LINC+, online versions of books or ebooks are usually clearly indicated in the record. Below shows an example in LINC+.

Ebooks are available on many different platforms including

  • MyiLibrary
  • EBSCO E-Books (formerly NetLibrary)
  • SpringerLink
A more comprehensive search of ebooks can be found by following the procedure on the guide in ebooks.

Access to all online books, journals , databases is via your NUSNET ID and password and depending on the type of platform and title you might be able to download the whole book as a pdf or selected pages.

Depending on the platform, some will allow you to download whole chapters in PDF (e.g. CRCnet, ScienceDirect), while others will allow you to print or download a fixed number of pages and/or require that you be online to access page by page (e.g. EBSCO E-Books, MyiLibrary). Please refer to the online help of each e-book platform for more details.
