Alumni are welcome to browse and consult the library collection. They are able to gain access to the library by applying for an entry pass by using their NUS Lifelong Email account using this online application form. Alternatively, you can also access NUS libraries by using your AlumNUS card and a photo ID. If you do not have an AlumNUS card, you can apply for one with the Office of Alumni Relations.
For access to Wi-Fi, please visit this FAQ page.
Please note that borrowing privileges is not available for such access, nor are alumni allowed to book discussion rooms, carrels or other facilities. Alumni who are not external members may be allowed to access closed stacks items on a case to case basis, such items are stored separately from the main library collection & will take time to retrieve. Please contact the loans department in advance for permission about the items you wish to view.
Alternatively, NUS alumni can join the library as an external member to continue using its facilities with borrowing privileges. Membership subscription fee is $139.10 per annum for basic membership (as at July 2011). Please see personal external membership for more details.
NUS Alumni will have some access to our electronic resources both remotely and within NUS Libraries. Alumni who wish to use the service will need their NUS Lifelong email. More information about this service can be found in our library portal.
If you require other electronic resources that we do not provide, one alternative is the National Library Board. They offer a selection of electronic resources to all their members.
