Alumni are welcome to browse and consult the library collection. They are able to gain access to the library by presenting their AlumNUS cards and a valid photo ID at the entrance. No Alumni Card? For information on applying for Alumni cards check with the Office of Alumni Relations.

For access to Wifi, please visit this faq page.

No borrowing privileges are available for such access, nor are alumni allowed to book discussion rooms, carrels or other facilities. Alumni who are not external members may be allowed to access closed stacks items on a case to case basis, such items are stored seperately from the main library collection & will take time to retrieve (no retrieval on weekends) so please contact the loans department in advance for permission about the items you wish to view.

Alternatively, NUS alumni can join the library as an external member to continue using its facilities with borrowing privileges. Membership subscription fee is $139.10 per annum for basic membership (as at July 2011). Please see personal external membership for more details.

Due to strict licensing agreements, Alumni who are external members (and all other external including personal and corporate members) will not have access to paid electronic resources. Alumni also do not login to the library portal but personal external members can check their loan record via MYLINC.

For electronic resources, one alternative is the National Library Board. They offer a selection of electronic resources such as JSTOR to all their members (access from home or from library depending on type of resource).
