DOI stands for Digital Object Identifier and is a persistent or permanent link assigned to a digital item that points to its location on the Internet. For e.g. many publishers assign a DOI when your article is published and made available electronically.

ScholarBank@NUS provides a DOI for datasets that are uploaded via Datacite, a leading global non-profit organisation that provides persistent identifiers (DOIs) for research data.
