Q. Can I return an item borrowed from one NUS Library (say Central Library) to another library (either bookdrop or loans desk of say CJ Koh Law Library)

In general, main shelves books and bound journals borrowed from one NUS library (including Yale-NUS Library) can be returned to any other NUS library (either loans desk or book drop).

For most other items such as RBR, CD ROMS, Videos, Microforms, hardcopies of thesis, academic exercises etc should usually be returned to the loans desk of the library you borrowed it from.
