Study Carrels are small rooms at Central Library Level 3 are available to NUS staff and postgraduate students.
However, there are some study carrels that can be used by NUS undergraduates provided that they not being used after 12pm.
They are suitable for students who wish to study alone in a small enclosed area.
To obtain a carrel, users should proceed directly to RBR. See the staff at the RBR counter to ask for the key. Keys are given out on a first-come-first-served basis. The loan period for carrels is 1 day (8am - 9.30pm).
There are three carrels (no. 29 - 31) with 7 hour loan periods. In addition, two carrels (no. 5 and 6) are always unlocked and available to all users on a first-come-first-served basis with no booking required.
There are 3 carrel keys kept at Loans Desk 4 for loan to teaching & research staff only. The loan period for these carrels is for 7 days.
