Generally items with are on loan i.e status such as DUE DD-MM-YY or items in closed stacks with status Request Item can be reserved or requested.
Items with status "available" cannot be requested or reserved and are available on the shelves on a first come first served basis.
Certain other items like RBR, special collection items such as Singapore-Malaysia Collection items cannot be requested or reserved as well.
If you are not able to place holds or request an item at all for any item, your membership privilege might be suspended due to outstanding fines, items overdue more than a certain number of days, or items that you borrowed have being recalled but are not returned.
