All scheduled downtimes of the library website, library catalogue (which is seperate from the library website itself) and specific databases (e.g ACS publications) are announced in advance on the library news & events calender and are usually announced on the Library Facebook page.
Any known reported problems with specific databases will also be announced on news & events calender
If you are having problems and it is not scheduled maintance or if the problem hasn't been reported yet, please contact us with specific details (including screenshot of what you saw) and the time you were having problems.
If the library portal itself is down (e.g http://lib.nus.edu.sg or http://libportal.nus.edu.sg/frontend/index), it may still be possible to access the library catalogue and library subscribed databases which are usually on seperate systems. You can go direct to
1. FindMore@NUSL - http://nus.summon.serialssolutions.com
2. LINC - http://linc.nus.edu.sg/
3. Library Account/Renew Loans: https://linc.nus.edu.sg/patroninfo
4. LibGuides - http://libguides.nus.edu.sg/libraryhelp
5. Library FAQs - http://libfaq.nus.edu.sg/ (this site!)
6. Exam Papers: http://libbrs.nus.edu.sg:8080
If you are looking for a ejournal or database search by name of the journal or database in #1 or #2 and in most (but not all) cases you should be able to access the ejournal or database.
