The Yale-NUS College Library does not accept requests for items available for checkout in the NUS and Yale-NUS Library System (including print journals). You may, however, place ILL requests for items that are checked out or those with RBR status.

Other items that may be difficult to request through ILL:

  • Periodical volumes less than five years old (instead, request individual articles)
  • Reference books (instead, request individual entries)
  • Audio/visual materials
  • Bulky or fragile items
  • Extremely old books
  • Books on reserve, including textbooks
  • Rare or valuable material such as manuscripts
  • Textbooks
