The Zotero Connector may be automatically adding in the library proxy to websites it detects are suitable, such as journals.

To remove the automatic proxy activation, you will need to change your Zotero Connector settings.

In Firefox:

Click on Extensions:

Click on the gear icon next to the Zotero Connector:

If you are on an active page, you should see Preferences. Click on Preferences:

If you are on an empty tab, click on Manage Extension:

Click on the 3 dots to the right of Zotero Connector and click on Options:

Once you have clicked on Options (or if you clicked on Preferences from an active webpage) you should now be in the Zotero Connector's settings page in grey.

Click on Proxies:

Remove the tick from Enable proxy redirection.

This should now disable the Zotero Connector from automatically adding the proxy when you go to journal webpages.

In Chrome:

Click on Extensions:

Locate Zotero Connector in your list of extensions, click on the 3 dots and then click on Options:

You should now be in the Zotero Connector's settings page in grey. Click on Proxies:

Remove the tick from Enable proxy redirection.

This should now disable the Zotero Connector from automatically adding the proxy when you go to journal webpages.
