The Library purchases RBR (Reserved Books and Readings) titles on a sharing basis, providing students who cannot afford such materials on their own an equal level of access to the RBR titles as possible. We will expedite all RBR requests to ensure that they are available in time for semester, but please note that RBR requests are processed differently for the electronic and print copies.
For eBook (E-RBR) requests not available in the Library
Please expect about 1-2 months as we may need time to find the institutional licensed version. The process may take longer if the request is an eTextbook. As E-RBR requests may be more complex, we recommend that you submit your requests at least 3 months before the start of semester.
For print requests not available in the Library
Please expect about 1 month as most RBR requests are overseas orders. We recommend that you submit your requests at least 2 months before the start of semester.
For requests already available in the Library
Please allow for at least 7 working days before the start of semester to give time for processing, as well as for the Library to recall the requested print book for RBR if it is on loan at the time of your request.
You may contact the Acquisitions team for any questions about your RBR requests.
For loans related queries (e.g. renewals, membership, fines), please email Library Loans & Membership or call 65166949.
NUS Staff and students may email Technical Services (eResources) to report e-resource access issues or connection problems. Please include screenshot of error message encountered.
