You can return main shelf books, bound journals or books and bound journals from closed stacks to the book drop. You can usually return a book borrowed from one library to another across NUS Libraries.

Items that should not be returned to the book drop:

RBR items

• CD/DVD ROM, AV material such as DVDs

• Microform

• Theses, academic exercises

• Music Scores

• Items obtained using inter-library loans (items from non-NUS Libraries)

Do note that items returned via most book drops are not returned instantly but are manually cleared by staff about once an hour. If the item is returned on days when the library is not open, items returned will be cleared the next day and backdated to the time it was returned.

If you need an item to be cleared immediately, please return the item to the loans counter.
