1. After logging in to CNKI via Chinese interface or English interface, please ensure that the login account is always shown as “欢迎 新加坡国立大学” (Welcome 新加坡国立大学 [National University of Singapore]), as illustrated in the two figures below.
The system may automatically log you out if the web page is idle for a while.
Please close the browser and log in again to CNKI.
2. From the search result list, please take note that full text access is only available for items with Download icon.
3. If you see the Lock icon, it means that the item is not subscribed by the Library.
4. All the journal articles and theses covered in the database are categorised into 10 series.
For journal articles, all the ten series are currently subscribed by the Library.
For Phd and Master theses, only four series (Social Science series) out of which are currently subscribed by the Library due to budget constraints.
4. If you find that the Chinese interface of CNKI could not be opened properly, it could be caused by slow internet speed. It will be back to normal a short while later. Alternatively, please use the English interface instead.
If needed, you can contact the General mailbox for more help.
Note:
NUS Libraries does not have access to every article/thesis out there, if you still cannot find the article/thesis you need after going through these steps, and the article/thesis is critical for your research, you can try to request for the journal article using our Document Delivery Service or recommend the thesis for purchase (select "Recommend Books"). This is available only to Academic Staff, Graduate students and honours/final year student.
